Do you want to play guitar like a god
but have no idea where to start?

Are you sick and tired of trying to learn
on your own and getting nowhere fast?

Have generic guitar lessons been
a waste of time and money in the past?

Here’s how it usually goes. One fine day, the music bug bites you. You discover some awesome records, see some exciting live shows, and suddenly you just know. You want to be like those cool rock stars. You want to be able to play their awesome music, maybe even become a ‘rock star’ yourself. After all, your favourite guitarists make it look so easy! How hard can it be?

You dive into it full of enthusiasm, looking for all the information you can find online. At first you are excited at every improvement you make and every little thing you discover.

But then it just starts to get harder. Before you can play anywhere near like your favourite rock stars, you seem to hit an insurmountable wall.

You search and search for every article or video that promises to teach you the ‘secrets’ of success. There must be something out there that will unlock the keys to the kingdom! You just haven’t found it yet, you tell yourself.

However, the more information you find the more it seems to add to your confusion. It all feels like a bunch of random bits and pieces which you can’t yet put together into a coherent picture, like a giant puzzle with missing parts and even some pieces that don’t belong there. Some of those bits and pieces of information even seem to flatly contradict each other. How are you supposed to know what is right?

Eventually, discouragement sets in. You start thinking that maybe you just haven’t ‘got it’. Maybe you just weren’t born with enough ‘talent’.

Does this sound familiar? If the answer is yes, I assure you that you are not alone. To solve this problem once and for all and become the musician you deserve to be, read on.

Here’s the first thing which I want you to understand:

You don’t need ‘talent’ to become great at guitar.

You just need to know what to do.

“But what about famous musicians like Mozart who we ‘know’ are examples of exceptional talent? Surely some people must be more gifted than others?”

Although society loves to glorify heroes, reality is a bit less romantic than that. Even someone like Mozart had to work very hard to develop all the qualities needed to make a great musician. Yes, he started composing at an early age, but only after thousands of hours of intensive training under the strict guidance of his father. So not even Mozart himself was a ‘born Mozart’. He was the product of the right knowledge, training and supervision.

Thomas Edison summed it up perfectly:

“Genius is 1% inspiration, 99% perspiration.”

Having said that, I know how frustration feels and I sympathize greatly. Everyone starts from zero and everyone faces frustration and doubts sometime or another. Rest assured that even your favourite guitar heroes have frequently felt like that.

What will make the difference – what determines success – is whether you have a proven strategy to overcome your stumbling blocks or not. With the right strategy, success is only a matter of time. Without it however, you are bound to:

  • Not know what information is relevant to you.
  • Get side tracked by unimportant or downright harmful stuff.
  • Not spend enough time on what matters most.
  • Try to learn things in the wrong order.
  • Not know what you need to focus on right now.
  • Not know how to practice for maximum results.
  • Ingrain bad habits which will hold you back.
  • Risk possible injury due to practicing with bad form.
  • Have no one to help you set appropriate goals.
  • Have unrealistic expectations.
  • Lack someone pushing you and holding you accountable.
  • Have no standard to compare your progress to.

And the most important of them all:

On your own, there’s no one to see what you’re doing wrong and help you fix it.

This single factor can mean the difference between struggling for years and getting nowhere, or making constant progress.

Believe me, I know. I too wasted many years trying to do it alone. I too had to face frustration, discouragement and feeling completely at a loss, not knowing what I was doing wrong. The more I struggled, the more I tried to find ‘magic bullets’ in every online article, video, website, book and magazine I could lay my hands on. But the more information I found, the more confused I became.

It was only when I finally sought expert guidance that I started to make the kind of progress I didn’t think possible. If only I hadn’t wasted so much time and effort before doing so! That’s when it finally hit me:

There are no born musicians.

There are only good or bad ways to learn.

You see, information is meaningless by itself, if you don’t know how to apply it. Even more importantly, you also need to have expert feedback.

Someone who can physically watch over you can help you diagnose problems and show you how to overcome them much more quickly and easily than you could on your own, especially when you still lack the knowledge and experience to do so yourself.

Trying to learn from random bits and pieces of information is like looking for a place with no plan, map or GPS, and hoping you get lucky!

That’s why the best performers and professionals in any field all have mentors, teachers and coaches. Think about it. Can you imagine anyone ever winning a world championship in any field on their own, without having had some of the best instruction and coaching available? That just never happens.

Learning to play an instrument is no exception. Even if you don’t intend to become a ‘world champion’, having great coaching will make a world of difference. Great musicians aren’t born, they are made!

Which one sounds better to you? Struggling for years on your own only to obtain mediocre results, maybe getting so frustrated that you eventually quit and abandon your dreams?

Or having a system guaranteed to get you to your goals, and to get you there a lot faster?

Learning to play guitar and music in general does not have to be frustrating. In fact, the process of learning itself can be a lot of fun and very gratifying if approached correctly. Nothing is more satisfying than seeing yourself constantly improve and achieve things you didn’t think possible!

That’s what I’m here for. And that’s why my motto is:

No pain, MORE gain.

Certainly, you will have heard the old saying “no pain, no gain”. Well, at Malta Rock Academy that concept is turned on its head. The less ‘pain’ you suffer in your musical journey, the greater your progress will be. I don’t mean physical pain here, although that definitely should not be present in your practice. I’m referring to possibly an even worse kind of pain. The pain of struggling and of feeling stuck. The pain of confusion, frustration and discouragement.

This is where I come in: liberating you from being confused about what you should be learning, from being overwhelmed by all the conflicting or even downright harmful information out there, from not knowing how to practice for maximum results, from the frustration of hitting a wall beyond which you find it impossible to progress, from not knowing what you are doing wrong and eventually giving up.

Please believe me when I tell you that learning to play guitar better than you can even imagine right now, does not have to be hard.

Imagine if you could:

  • Avoid all the confusion and know exactly what you need to learn – no more wasted time.
  • Discover exactly what is holding you back and get rid of all that frustration once and for all.
  • Develop key attributes most students never hear about, without which success is impossible.
  • Get rid of all common mistakes and bad habits so that everything feels easy.
  • Experience advanced methods not seen elsewhere that will super-charge your progress.
  • Get constant feedback so that you can fix faults instantly.
  • Know how to get maximum results from everything you do.
  • Achieve your goals much faster, thus saving you time, money and frustration.
  • Study in a professional and empowering environment that makes it fun to learn.
  • See yourself constantly improve and be on fire with motivation.
  • Play all your favourite songs and enjoy music like never before.
  • Learn to write and perform music at any level you want and feel like a real Rockstar.

Don’t you think that all this must lead to you making the best musical progress of your life? In fact, you’d be guaranteed to become better than you ever thought possible.

What people think of as ‘talent’ is simply the result of having the right mindset, knowledge, skills and habits. By ingraining those attributes into your mind, together we will effectively INSTALL talent into you!

This is exactly my mission, and why I created Malta Rock Academy. I’m totally committed to bringing you the most effective and inspiring guitar lessons in Malta. No stone is left unturned in making sure that you get the best possible results.

Let me fill you in on another crucial fact. All guitar lessons are NOT created equal. Most guitar teachers do not have actual training on how to teach guitar in the most effective way. They might be competent and knowledgeable musicians themselves, but teaching someone else is a whole science in itself.

A lot of teaching methods out there, including many still accepted as ‘traditional’, are very out dated and inefficient. They produce limited and slow results, and are often extremely boring too! They are bound to kill your enthusiasm and make you question whether you are capable of learning, when in fact the fault lies in the teaching methods, not in yourself. Who knows how many people wouldn’t have quit if only they had been exposed to better methods!

I want you to avoid years of frustration like I and many other people had to face. That’s why for many years I’ve been a member of the Elite Guitar Teachers Inner Circle, an exclusive international community of some of the very best guitar teachers from across the world, mentored by the most successful guitar teacher alive today.
